AFTERCARE

Henna will stain darkest on hands, wrists, inner arms, ankles and feet and for people with warm skin.  Henna stains less darkly on necks, backs, shoulders and bellies.

Allow paste to dry 10-20 minutes without touching. Humidity in the air will affect drying time.

Leave on without picking off as long as possible, 5 to 6 hours is ideal.  It is normal for henna to flake off as it dries.  Scrape off remaining dried paste—never wash it and do not get design wet for 12 hours if possible.  This will greatly improve your stain!

The design will appear as a bright orange stain, which will darken to a reddish brown over the next two days.

It can last up to 3 weeks if taken care of properly!

Put olive oil or cocoa butter on design before and after bathing.  Aquaphor or A & D ointment will protect it from chlorinated water.

Avoid scrubbing area when bathing and hand sanitizers.

My henna paste is handmade fresh, using only organic henna powder, lemon juice, sugar and organic essential oils.  It NEVER contains PPD, which can be toxic and is found in black ‘henna’.

Enjoy your artwork and thanks for your business!
